atari800 software package provides Atari 8-bit emulator for SDL, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install atari800
atari800 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the atari800 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep atari800 *
You will get with atari800 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
